September 30: Since the last week we have not been updating the site or sending the newsletter regularly that's because we were redesigning the site. Please send us your comments about the new site. September 27: Ministers from the Andhra pradesh Government were here in Puttaparthi to look into the developments that were being done here in Puttaparthi for Swami's 80th Birthday. Some of the roads in Puttaparthi are being relaid. The Chitravathi road's construction is going on as i speak. More such works are in planning or implementation stage. There is a huge effort both in resources and funding from the Andhra pradesh Government for the development of infrastructure in Puttaparthi for Swami's 80th Birthday.

September 19: Swami came outside mandir after quite a few days. And people had a very good darshan while Swami went in the car. It's been a while since Swami came outside mandir.

September 15: Happy Onam Happy Onam to all the devotees, there are no celebrations today here in puttaparthi.But plenty of devotees are here from kerala for Swami darshan on this festive day.

September 14: Even the cancellation of programs has not dampened the spirits of the devotees from Kerala. Many of them are pouring into Puttaparthi for Swami's darshan

September 13: Just after telling you about the upcoming festival, i am sad to announce that the Onam celebrations are cancelled. So there are no Onam celebrations this year in Puttaparthi. Please don't send us letters asking why? because we too don't know..

September 12: On 10th the residents of Puttaparthi concluded their festival by immersing the idol of Vinayaka. These are some of the pictures taken during that. If you love festivals Puttaparthi is the place to be because in few days time another festival is going to start. It called Onam a festival celebrated in Kerala. So many devotees form Kerala are arriving for this event already.

September 8: As we said Yesterday here is a picture Chitravathi River with water from yesterday's rain. Most of the water has gone already but there is still plenty of it around. So this years Vinayaka Chathurthi conclusion will be a good one.

September 7: Vinayaka Chathurthi Hope this day will bring Happiness and peace to your life. Wishing you all a very happy Vinayaka Chathurthi. It's raining in puttaparthi today. So there will be plenty of water for the last day of Vinayaka Chathurthi. That is the day when the idols of Vinayaka are taken to immerse in water ending the Vinayaka Chathurthi.

September 3: The Doctors Conference finished yesterday evening. Today morning Swami went for a visit outside mandir and came back quickly.

September 3: Doctors Conference Today morning there was an event in mandir. It's called doctors conference. Nearly 200 doctors from all over the world are here for the event. And in the morning event Swami gave discourse and few other doctors gave speeches. There are going to be some other programs in the evening. In the discourse Swami talked about atma. The whole event lasted few hours in the morning. The event only finished just now at around 11:30 am. It was unusual to hear bhajans at 11:30 am in the afternoon. Then prasadam was given, appropriately today's prasadam was apples and we all know the saying eating an apple a day keeps the doctors away.
