November 29th: 2:00 pm - Only Four countries so far...

So far we have received photos from chennai (india), australia, new zealand and a story about the events in russia.

On december 1st we will be putting online and in the newsletter a poem about Swami and abour how our devotion to Swami should be etc. So watch our for that.

November 26th: 8:45 pm - The decoration are being taken down.

The big Arch like decoration at the main gate which you can see in the web cam picture was taken down today and so was the big picture of Swami inside mandir. Both of them were put here for the November celebrations. Its kind of sad to see them go because its a visual reminder that the celebrations are over. But nothing can last for ever so life goes on. Waiting for Christmas now.

November 26th: 8:30 pm - Today the bhajans were late and went on for two hours

Today morning swami came at 10:00 am so the bhajans which started at 9:00 am continued and when Swami arrived at 10:00 am Swami gave interview to some devotees. The interview only finished at 11:00 am. And the bhajans finished after that. So they lasted for two hours in the morning.

November 25th: 8:30 pm - Cutural Programs by the students from Singapore

Today evening there were cultural programs in mandir by the students from Singapore. They performed a drama. There was another program by the devotees from Russia. So it was late and the programs only finished at 6:15 pm.

November 25th: 3:30 pm - Devotees are going home after week long birthday celebrations

Most of the devotees have already left or are going in a day or two. Puttaparthi returns back to its calm nature self. Many of them are taking memeories of wonderful celebrations and blessing of our Divine Sathya Sai Baba. Those who are staying back are hoping to get a good darshan before leaving.

November 23rd: 10:00 pm - November 23rd Program Evening Program

Swami was accompanied to mandir by bands and dance groups at around 5:00 pm. It was one of best night time events in Puttaparthi in a long time. It was a musical night. Some very well known Indian musicians participated in the program. Pundit Shiv Kumar Sharma, Kavitha Krishna Murthy and Dana Gillespie to name a few. Even the drizzling rain could not stop the event from going. The whole stadium was filled with beautiful music. Any one worried about the darkness in the stadium would have been reassured by seeing Swami in glowing yellow dress. To top it all up after the musical program there one of the best fire works displays of my life. I have not seen anything like that. The whole stadium was filled with light like it was day light. All this was really exciting but it was also sad because with this the 80th birthday also ended. But it will surely stay in the memory for a very long time to come.

November 23rd: 12:30 pm - November 23rd Program

The morning celebrations have just finished in Puttaparthi. Swami arrived at stadium at 7:30 am and was accompanied by the marching bands. The fireworks went as soon as Sathya Sai Baba entered the ground. The ground was a sea of humanity. Swami was heart fully welcomed by all the devotees. Then Swami gave blessings to all the guest. Half of the Indian Cricket team arrived for the event. Sachin Tendulkar wished Swami happy birthday and said that he was very happy to be in the presence of Swami and privileged to be here for the 80th birthday.

Then there was a song by Bala Subramanyam well known Indian singer who sang for Swami from the dais which was erected in the ladies stand. After the songs two devotees gave speeches one of them was the international sai organization leader Mr. Goldstein. He spoke about how devotee should see Swami in them and they should thing about asking, who am I to themselves before asking who are you. Then After that Swami gave a discourse Started with saying that "Kindness and help should be done with rightness and truthfulness. Only then they will be of value. Swami also said that now people are doing Show work rather than doing social work. Swami asked the devotee to see the god in themselves. Swami said that there is no use changing gods every time something happens. God is one and pray to one God from birth to death. Swami said that devotees should not aspire for worldly pleasures and should seek spiritual life. Swami said at the end of the discourse that he was very happy that so many people showed their love to Swami by attending the event. Swami wished them all a peace full, happy life. Mr. Anil Kumar missed the happy life so Swami repeated it again. And the crowd clapped their hearts out. After the discourse Swami accepted presents from the guest. Many of them gave Swami gift even the Indian cricket team did. After that Swami sat for a while then the aarathi started ending the morning event. There will more programs in the evening at 5:00 pm. Announcement was made that Prasadam will be distributed at the food counters where free food was being give. Then Swami left the ground at around 10:10 am.

All through the event there was drizzling but never did it rain hardly enough to stop the proceedings. By the end of the discourse the rain was completely gone and it was getting warmer.

November 23rd: 7:30 am - The long wait is finally over. The 80th birthday Begins

Swami just left for the stadium at 7:30 am. As i am writing this i can hear the crackers going off. So far like ten of them have gone off 70 more to go. I tried to get a picture of Swami while Swami was going to stadium but Swami's car was surrounded by police and sevadals. I am about to leave to the stadium will let you know more later. Until then keep watching the webcam.

November 22nd: 9:30 pm - Cultural Program after the event

After the University convocation there was a cultural program in the Poorna Chandra Auditorium. Students performed a Drama. Swami with the Cheif Minister of Maharashtra was attending the cultural program.

November 22nd: 9:30 pm - Sri Sathya Sai University Convocation

Sri Sathya Sai University Convocation was held this evening. Governer of Karnataka was the cheif guest for the event. Swami gave a discourse on this ocassion. And the students were presented with their golde medals. While coming and leaving the Dignitaries were lead by the students marching band.

November 22nd: 5:30 pm - Swami went to the stadium to see the preparations for tomorrow

Today Morning Swami went to see the preparation in the stadium for tomorows celebrations. The Stadium is beautifully decorated and ready for the event. There is a big security arrangement for tommorows event. A big red carpet is laid in the stadium in which Swami will be arriving for tomorrows event. Even the rain could not stop the preparations or Swami's visit.

November 22nd: 1:40 pm - Its raining in Parthi. God's are cleaning the earth for the birth of Sai

Its now raining so much that people need umberillas to walk. As i said before nothing will stop the events from happening or will they dampen the spirits of the devotees.

November 22nd: 1:35 pm - Most Thankless Job in Puttaparthi

There is a huge under taking for this 80th birthday by both sevadals and police. But the police get paid but not the sevadals. They have come from all over India. Most of them are not so rich that they can afford such a trip. But still they make the journey and help control the crowd in Puttaparthi for the birthday. Theirs could be the most unthankful job for the whole event. Every one gets angry at them devotees fight with them if they don't let them go to a certain place etc. But still you never hear them complain. They never stop working. It's not like they have to do it, they themselves make that choice. I think this shows the devotion they have for Sathya Sai Baba and they are acting on Swami's most loved words. "Work Is Worship". Only a few are posted in areas where they can get Swami's darshan. But still they keep coming every year to do seva. There are huge tents put up at the end of mandir for the sevadals. Their sheer numbers shows that people are not just listening to Swami but also following the words Swami says.

November 22nd: 12:00 pm - Today is Convocation of Sai University

The Convocation of Sai University will take place in the evening. The students of the Sai University will be given Medals and cerificates for their performance in Education. We will Bring you the pictures of the event in the evening as soon as the event finishes.

November 22nd: 9:00 am - Web Cam from Puttaparthi

We will be putting a webcame on the site of the main gate in Puttaparthi for a few hours today. And atleast 5 Hours tomorrow. So you can see how much crowd there is and how busy it is.

November 22th: 9:00 am - All set for Baba’s 80th Birthday celebrations

Devotees from 176 countries have arrived in Putaparthy for the celebrations. A record 15 lakh devotees are expected to take part in the birthday celebrations on Wednesday. Sri Sathya Sai Baba will celebrate his birthday in the midst of his devotees at the Hill View stadium in Puttaparthy on the 23rd.

November 11th: 2:40 pm - Sai Trust in Trivandrum,Kerala has sent 6500 kilograms of pickles

Madhuvanam Sri sathya Sai Trust in Trivandrum,Kerala has sent 6500 kilograms of cut mango pickles for Grama Seva use to Prsanthi Nilayam. The Trust is also conducting a medical camp from 15th to 22nd November 2005 at Brahmanappalli village near Super Speciality hospital

November 10th: 10:30 pm

I was going to look like a fool because I promised a video of Swami coming out and it looked like Swami was not going to come out today. Then all of a sudden at around 4.10 pm Swami came out for a visit to the stadium and we had a good darshan. Just before coming out Swami gave a good darshan inside mandir. Swami stayed on the varanda for a very long time giving good darshan to all the devotees. There is busy work going on the roads to fix the pot holes etc. By the way i have also stopped predicting stuff from now on.

November 21th: 9:15 am - Its not raining but its very cloudy and cold.

Rain has stopped but it is very cloudy and very cold here in Puttaparthi. The temparature is around 16 degree. But nothing has kept the devotees from coming or filling up the kulwant hall.

Its raiing sligthly in Puttaparth now. Hoping and praying it will not last or get bigger.

November 21th: 9:30 pm - Evening Program of World Conference Day 2

Swami arrived for the event at 5:06 pm. There was a peformance by the orchestra which was brilliant. The kulwant hall was fully packed for the event. After the performance Swami talked with the performers and took pictures with them. Thus ending the Day 2 of World Conference.

Swami came at around 7:55 am in the morning for the second day of World Conference. The Cheif Minister of Andhra pradesh had a darshan of Swami in the morning at around 8:45 am.

November 21st: 1:30 pm - Swami makes a surprise visit outside mandir

Swami made a surprise visit this morning because no one was expecting Swami's visit outside in this busy time. It was at 10:50 am. Due to my bad reflexes and slow reaction i could not get the picture before. Swami was looking right at us. But the camera was not ready by then. Swami seems to be playing with me everytime my camera is not ready Swami gives a good darshan. It was nice to get a good darshan of Swami at this busy time.

November 20th: 9:30 pm - Ministers started arriving for the event

Ministers have started coming for the event. The andhra pradesh Cheif Minister is already here. More are expected to be here in two days. According to the news here 4 Governers and 4 Cheif Ministers are coming for the event. Those are unconfirmed reports. We will let you know more as soon as we get more inforamtion. All the chief guests information is not being released so we will inform you as soon as we get any information.

November 20th: 7:30 pm - World Conference Evening program from Puttaparthi

Evening programs started at 3.55 pm thats when Swami came for the evening program. The men and women from world choir were sitting infornt of Swami. Nearly 125 people from 40 countries were in the world choir and they performed as if they been singing for ages. They performed few songs in english. After which the bhajans started and the event of the day 1 of the world conference ended.

November 20th: 12:00 pm - World Conference Day 1 in Puttaparthi

Today is the day 1 of the world conference. The theme for this years world conference is "Unity, Purity and Divinity" Swami arrived for the event at 8:01 am and the conference began. Some dignitaries gave speeches on this ocasion. The event finished with the bhajans at around 9:30 pm. There are two more days of world conference here in Puttaparthi.

November 19th: 10:00 pm - Ladies Day in Puttaparthi

There was a karnatick music program after which there was a dance program by the students dancing to the bhajans. After the event Swami was escorted by the ladies march band ending the Ladies day Celebration.The crowd is getting bigger and dignitaries too are arriving. Today some care were passing by but not sure who came, will let you know more as we get.

November 19th: 8:00 pm - No Organisation is running this web site we are

We are getting a lot of letters asking us which organisation is running the site and which samithi does the site belong etc. So to clear this and to get some face time here are our pictures. We are the only two people running this web site. We are Sathya Sai Baba devotees we don't belong to any group or samithi. We both are residents of Puttaparhti. We are hoping to bring this november as close to you as possible through our eyes. Hope that clears up a lot of questions.

November 18th: 9:00 pm - Some of the decorations in Puttaparthi.

Last night when we went to sleep there was nothing but this morning the main gate was beautifully decorated. There is a big poster of Swami blessing with both hands as soon as you enter mandir. Big means, i mean big like 15 to 20 feet. Swami blessing with Abhaya Hastam in white dress. Then there are other picture outside mandir welcoming visitors and spreading the world of Sai etc.

November 18th: 2:00 pm

The food is fantastic. i ate today afternoon. They are giving chappati and curry for that. Then coconut rice, curd rice. They also gave two sweets. This keeps changing three times a day. And will last for seven days. Is it Swami's birthday or our birthday looking at the feast on offer it seems like our birthday.

November 18th: 2:00 pm - Free food for all

Free food for all the devotees who come to puttaparthi. Anyone can go and eat. They have some tasty dishes too. From today 18th to 24th november the food will be free. It will be given three times a day. So for one week the food will be free for all the devotees who come for the event. i am going to eat the food after that i will let you know more about it.

November 18th: 1:30 pm - Rathosavam in Puttaparthi

Today morning Rathosavam was held in Puttaparthi. Swami came for the event and blessed the ratham and the devotees who were waiting there. This event happened at 7:40 am and Swami came at 8:15 am and blessed the devotees and the ratham. The idol of Lord Rama and Krishan were brought from mandir and kept in the ratham, pooja was done with Swami's blessings and the rathosavam was complete.

November 18th: 10:30 am - 80 Marraiges in Puttaparthi

Yesterday the 80 marriages were conducted in puttaparthi. We have some picture for you of the event. Swami personally blessed each one of them. Swami handed each bridegroom the thali (mangalasuthra), how special can you get.

November 17th: 8:00 pm - Many new things are being done in Puttaparthi

There are loud speakers all along the road. Which play bhajans of Sathya Sai Baba. They were switched on today and it was nice. They have been switched off now because its bed time for most people who want to go to darshan in the morning. Then there are announcements that are being made to keep the city clean and asking people to move on to the side walk etc which can help when it gets even busier.

P.S If anyone know some one inside mandir get us a press pass so that we could cover this birthday events even closely, just kidding.

November 17th: 1:45 pm - 80 Marriages as part of the 80th birthday

Not one, not two, not three, 80 couples tied knot today morning at exact 9:00 am. Those lucky couples got Swami blessings and Padanamaskars too. Not only that they were given golden chains as Thalis and they were provided with a bagful of presents.

After the wedding they were give lavish food as a celebrations of their wedding.

Swami inagurated mobile hospitals for doing medical camps and for providing mediecal help to the people. The vans have the latest technology to provide medical help to all those who need.

Our site was down for a few hours today due to the enormous responce we are getting for the online pooja. Its back on now but we had to make it smaller by removing the suprabhatam and putting in meditation. Hope you will understand our problem.

November 15th: 12:10 pm - Puttaparthi Getting Ready

Puttaparthi is getting ready for the big event. With new road already laid in two days. The tents and other things are being prepared inside mandir. The decorations are going up in the hill view stadium. In a few days the world conference is going to start.

November 14th: 2:00 pm - Akanda Bhajana Finished

Akanda bhajan finished yesterday evening. After which prasadam was distributed to the devotees. The road work is continuing and final touches are being done. Announcements are being made to tell people to keep the city clean.

November 13th: 4:30 pm - Preparation in the stadium continue

The preparations for the birthday are in full swing, New road is being laid on the main road. The Hill View stadium is being cleared and made ready. Swami is also inspecting the preparations regularly. They only have a week left to make all the prepartions ready before the events of the 80th brithday start. All the volunteers for the brithday will be arriving by 15th. There are plenty of them already here. Big security with many police and other officers is also being made ready for the event. There are already traffic police on the road.

November 12th: 9:00 pm - Akanda Bhajana has started in Puttaparthi

Akanda Bhajana has started in puttaparthi. It is continuing, and it will go on till tomorrow evening 6:00 pm. The mikes were just switched off so that there will not be any disturbance to Swami. This is the only other day when the mandir gates will be open all night long. The bhajans is still continuing...

November 12th: 12:50 pm - Today is Akanda Bhajana in Puttaparthi

Today is Akanda Bhajana in Puttaparthi. So there will be Bhajans from 6:00 pm today to tomorrow evening 6:00 pm. That's 24 hours of continuous bhajans. Hoping you too will be participating in the event from where ever you are. Many Sathya Sai Samithis also participate in the event by doing Akanda bhajanas in their samithis.

November 11th: 2:50 pm - Special Program in the planetarium

I know its kind of late now. Any way here it is there was a program in the planetarium about Swami 80th birthday from 1 to 9th. We missed it because we just saw the notice today so sorry about that.

November 11th: 2:45 pm - Opening of Lakshmi Temple in Mandir

Today morning there was a temple opening ceremony by Swami. The temple was for Goddess Lakshmi. This temple is located near the Gayathri temple which is near the round building or Mandir Post office which ever you makes it easy for you to remember the place.

November 11th: 2:40 pm - Sai Trust in Trivandrum,Kerala has sent 6500 kilograms of pickles

Madhuvanam Sri sathya Sai Trust in Trivandrum,Kerala has sent 6500 kilograms of cut mango pickles for Grama Seva use to Prsanthi Nilayam. The Trust is also conducting a medical camp from 15th to 22nd November 2005 at Brahmanappalli village near Super Speciality hospital

November 10th: 10:30 pm

I was going to look like a fool because I promised a video of Swami coming out and it looked like Swami was not going to come out today. Then all of a sudden at around 4.10 pm Swami came out for a visit to the stadium and we had a good darshan. Just before coming out Swami gave a good darshan inside mandir. Swami stayed on the varanda for a very long time giving good darshan to all the devotees. There is busy work going on the roads to fix the pot holes etc. By the way i have also stopped predicting stuff from now on.

November 10th: 10:30 pm

Yesterday Swami came outside mandir twice once in the morning and once in the evening. But when I was about to take the video my camera batteries were finished. So I put aside the camera in hoping to get a good darshan. And boy did i get a good one. Swami blessed twice. when you look from a camera you don't get such a good look. So even though it was disappointing that I could not get the videos for the sites. But on a personal level I got the best darshans in a long time.

By the way Swami is going everyday to the stadium to check the preparation for the 80th birthday. so we are expecting Swami to come today too. So expect some videos later in the day. I will have my camera fully charged and ready.

November 8th: 7:00 pm

Swami came for a breif visit this morning at around 11:20 am and returned back to mandir at 11:50 am.

November 7th: 12:00 pm

Puttaparthi is buzzing with activity. In a few days time the Akanda Bhajana will take place here in puttaparthi. After which the preparations for the birthday will get into full swing. No details about the programs or the chief guest has been released so far. We will get you the details as soon as they are available. We are expecting some very big dignitaries to be here in Puttaparthi for the Birthday. And devotees in huge numbers.

November 6th: 11:00 am - Swami Visiting outside mandir yesterday

Swami came for a breif visit yesterday afternoon at around 2.15 pm and Swami returned back to mandir at around 3.35 pm. This is what we heard or what you call hear say. They said that Swami came to look after the preparation in the ground where most of the events for this birthday will take place.

November 5th: 7:45 pm - Air Deccan will soon start its airlines service to Puttaparthi

Air Deccna India's Budget airlines has announced that they will start flights to Puttaparthi from Hyderabad and Chennai soon."Air Deccan to link pilgrim town with Chennai, Hyderabad Bangalore: Air Deccan, the country's first low cost carrier, today announced that it would soon launch daily flights from Chennai and Hyderabad to the pilgrim town of Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh. A 48-seater ATR 42-500 would be deployed on this sector, a Air Deccan release here."

Yesterday morning and evening there were programs by the devotees from Gujarat. They performed drama. The also talked about the seva the Gujarat Sai Seva Organizations is doing etc. It was splendid program.

November 2nd: 12:47 pm - Gujarathi New Year

Today is Gujarathi New Year in Puttaparthi. There were programs by them in the morning. More details as the come.

Yesterday there were no celebrations of Diwali inside mandir. but outside few residents burst fire crackers. That too didn't last long because the rain came at around 9.00 pm.

November 1st: 2:00 pm - Happy Diwali TO All

Today morning there was a march by the devotees from Gujarat. They were pulling a chariot and singing bhajans. The name of the march was called "Sai Avatar Darshan Yatra". They were wearing Pink scarfs around neck and singing bhajans. They even had a loud speaker so all the devotees could hear the bhajans. They sang bhajans like "Aana he padaga Baba Aana hi Padaga ( you have to come our Swami you have to come)". Tomorrow is the Gujarat New Year so many devotees are here for that event.
