June 29th: 10:45 am - Sai Baba grants interview to the Shri Rameshbhai Oza.

Sai Baba grants interview to the Shri Rameshbhai Oza Today Bhagavan Baba blessed the famous Gujarati Pravachan Guru Shri Rameshbhai Oza, [who gives a series of talks on Bhagavath Katha in various parts of the country] at Prasanthi Nilayam. Swami called him for interview and spoke to him for 35 minutes. Swami materialised a 'Ring' for him also.

Yesterday morning Shri Rameshbhai Oza arrived at Puttaparthi Airport in a chartered flight with 5 persons. It was a six sitter air plane. The flight reached at 7.45 a.m.

He was directly driven to Prasanthi Mandir at 8.00 a.m. He sat in Mandir Portico. Swami called him around 8.40 a.m. and the interview got over around 9.20 a.m. In the interview Swami materialised a diamond ring for him.

Then he was taken to Sri Sathya Sai Super Speciality Hospital and later to Chaitanya Jyoti Museum. Later he came for afternoon Darshan also at 2. 15 p.m. Swami came at 3.15 p.m. Swami was sitting outside listening to Vedic Mantras chanting till for sometime. Shri Rameshbhai left Mandir by 4.00 p.m. and left by the flight at 4.30 p.m.

He was very much impressed by Prasanthi Nilayam campus, Hospital and Museum. He also invited Swami to visit his ashram at Porbander in the interview. Swami also asked him to come again. He felt in the interview room that Swami was talking to him as if Swami knew him from many years. It was a memorable visit for him and the entire group. Provided by T. S. Jaykumar

June 27th: 10:20 am - "Sai Baba came for a visit outside mandir yesterday evening.

Sai Baba going on a visit on 26 june at 4:45 pm Yesterday evening at around 4:45 pm Swami came for a visit outside mandir. Devotees who were waiting outside got good darshan. Swami returned back to mandir after 10 minutes or so. Again giving good darshan to the devotees. We have our first video of this year.

June 25th: 10:30 am - Construction for the indoor stadium has began.

There is a big construction for indoor stadium going on in Puttaparthi. The stadium is being constructed infront of the musical institute which is near gokulam. Just a few days back Sai Baba gave the go ahead and the construction has began. We will keep you informed and may be bring you a few photos of the construction.

June 23rd: 10:30 am - "Would you like something from me," Sai Baba asked me.

Swami honouring the lecturers You ask me who the person in the photo is, he is Shashi Tharoor, Under Secretary-General for Communications and Public Information at the United Nations. He is also the Indian nominee for the post of next Secretary General at the United Nations. He is a devotee of Sai Baba and some are objecting to his nomination because he beleives in Swami. He is also an authour. He also wrote a nice article about his experience with Sai Baba in the newspaper in Hindu in 2002. Let us all pray and hope with Sai Baba's divine blessing he will be selected as the secretary general.

Scarborough Sai Centre ground breaking ceremony

Sri Sathya Sai Baba Centre of Scarborough, having served the community for the last 20 years, had a memorable event on Saturday May 27, 2006 when the members, well wishers and many dignitaries gathered at 5321 Finch Avenue East- (Finch & Middlefield), in the early morning hours for the ground breaking ceremony for a permanent "HOME" for their Educational, Service & Spiritual activities.

The ceremony commenced at 6.00 am with offering of prayers to the Loving Lord for His divine blessings for the Project. Hon. Priest Rajagopal conducted poojas.

There were more than one thousand devotees from all parts of Canada to grace this occasion. Once the National Anthem was recited by the Sai Centre Band group, the special guests- Prof. Anilkumar Kamaraju, Dr.V. P. Singh, central Coordinator for Canadian Sai Organizations, Hon George Smitherman, Minister of Health & Long Term Care, Mr. Derek Lee M.P., Mr. Bas Balkissoon M.P.P. Mr. Surendar Bagga Project Architect, Mr. Thurairajah, Regional Coordinator, Mr.Sri Siva, Centre President and Mr. Bala Chandran, Chairman of Board of Trustees, participated in the Ground Breaking Ceremony. Thereafter other Board of trustees and other visitors continued the Ground Braking Ceremony.

.In his welcome speech, Mr Bala Chandran, Chairman of Board of Trustees, mentioned that the presence of Prof Anilkumar Kamaraju, - Swami Translator and State President of Andra Pradesh, India Sai Organization, to participate in the glorious event was made possible only by Divine will. He also mentioned that the Manthir would serve the Community as a Sai Community Centre for the children, youth, adults and seniors.

Professor Anilkumar in his inspiring speech mentioned that the Sai Cenntre will serve the community at large by his deeper analysis of the meaning of SAI., where S-stands for Service, A-stands for adoration and I stand for illumination.

The Hon .George Smitherman, Minister of Health & Long Term Care, mentioned that with the message Love being emphasised by other speakers, he was confident that the Manthir projects would help to build a strong community for Ontario.

The Sai Centre youth girls sang two melodious and inspiring songs, which they prepared to sing in front of Swami last year. Mr. Derek Lee MP and Mr. Bas Balkissoon MPP for Scarborough Rouge River, all spoke at the occasion. Mr. Srisiva President of the Sai Centre delivered the vote of thanks. Pathi Kandavel and Mythile Thirukesan , effectively played the role of MC's for the ceremony

The Sai Centre building is estimated to cost 3 million and will include a Prayer Hall, an auditorium, Class Rooms, .Library and other facilities to accommodate more than 1,200 devotees at any function. The Centre building is expected to be completed within one year.

June 21st: 10:00 am - This is service, the way Sathya Sai Baba wanted us to do.

The devotees in Fort Wayne are doing great service in their community all with out doing much publicity or hoopla. That is the kind of service Swami wants us to do. June 19th: 10:00 am - Pictures from yesterdays event when Swami honoured the lecturers

June 18th: 12:15 pm - Lectures were presented Golden bracelets by Swami

This morning in the program Swami presented lecturers with Golden bracelets. Four of the lucky lectures who have received the bracelets have been serving in the Sathya Sai Baba Higher learning for very long time now. Swami after this gave a discourse about Education. After the discourse the bhajans started ending the program. Prasadam was distributed after the event to the devotees.

June 17th: 6:15 pm - Program announcement was made in Puttaparthi today

There was an announcement made in Puttaparthi after the evening bhajans about the program that will happen tomorrow morning. Swami will present gift to the lectures and teachers of Swami's Educational Institutes who are doing great service in providing great knowledge to their students.

There is the talk here that the teachers will be given golden bracelets which are called "Kankanam" in telugu. It's a great honour to be presented with a Kankanam and its even special when you receive it from our Divine Sathya Sai Baba's hand.. In the old days kings would do the same thing to honour a scholars or a poets. This is just to tell you that how big an honour this is.

June 15th: 11:15 am - Swami is giving regular darshan and puttaparthi is back to normal.

Swami is giving darshan regularly and the daily routine of bhajans are going on in Puttaparthi. It good to be back to the usual thing after three months of hot summer here in Puttaparthi. We too are back with regular updates...

June 8th: 2:15 pm - Swami just arrived at Puttaparhti.

Swami left Whitefield this morning and arrived at Puttaparthi few minutes back.
