July 31st 5:00 pm - International Rally in Puttaparthi

Not many events happen outside on the main road in Puttaparthi. But there was a rally by the students of Swami's institute and the delegates of the World Youth Conference. The marching bands from Swami's institute were accompanying the rally. It was a treat for the local residents. There were youth from all over the world in the rally who were here also to participate in the World Youth Conference.

July 31st 4:00 pm - International Basketball Match in Puttaparthi Indoor Stadium

There was an International Basketball Match in Puttaparthi between India and Sri Lanka. Which was held in the Indoor Stadium. The match was won by the Indian Basketball Team. There were some other dance programs during the event. Students of all the Sri Sathya Sai Institutes and VIP's were the viewers of this wonderful Match. Swami blessed the players and saw the match too.

July 26th 1:00 pm - More Cutural Programs in Prasanthi Nilayam

Yesterday we forgot to mention this bit of news. Swami named the new elephant baby Sai Laxmi. Which we just recently knew about. This morning there was a rally by devotees from all the states. It was a colorful rally. There were more cutural programs last evening in Prasanthi Nilayam. More programs are planned this evening. There is also a basketball match between the India and Sri Lanka at the new indoor stadium which was opened recently.

July 24th 11:00 am - Cutural Programs on July 24th

Yesterday evening in Sai Kulwant Hall there were cutural programs. There was a musical performance by Singer Hariharan. He was persented dress by Swami after the event. Devotees from Maharashtra District took out a rally in Puttaparthi yesterday.

There is a exhibition in Mandir called Prema Jyothi for this guru poornima. Swami opened it recently so don't miss it if you are in Puttaparthi for the guru poornima celebrations.

July 23rd 11:00 am - New Elephant in Prasanthi Nilayam

Swami received a present yesterday which was a small elephant. Which Swami blessed and gave few fruits etc. This elephant is staying where Sai Gheeta which passed away few days back was staying. This will make Swami and many in Puttaparthi happy who were feeling sad with the demise of Sai Gheeta recently.

July 16th 12:00 pm - Pleasant surprise in Prasanthi Nilayam this morning

This morning during the morning darshan there was a pleasant surprise. Swami walked for a while in Sai Kulwant Hall. Hopefully this will continue and we all can have those wonderful up close darshan in darshan lines again.

July 12th 5:00 pm - Parthi Yatra in Prasanthi Nilayam

There are nearly 7000 devotees from Medak district in Puttaparthi as part of the Parthi Yatra (Journey To Puttaparthi). Yesterday evening there were cutural programs by these devotees from Andhra Pradesh. They performed dance programs in the divine presence of Swami yesterday evening. After bhajan there was a rally called Parthi Yatra outside mandir too. There were a lot of fire crackers and some dances.

July 8th 9:00 am - Ashram and School in Simla

These pictures are from Simla where there is new school opened and Prayer Hall. I clicked few photo of Ashram and School From outside. These pictures were sent to us by Sanjay sondhi. We didn’t get many details on where its located in Simla etc. So if anyone near this ashram can give us some more details about where its located and when its opening etc would be nice.

July 4th 3:00 pm - This morning Swami came for a visit outside mandir

As soon as the morning bhajans began at 9:00 am. Swami came for a visit outside mandir. So devotees who were just going to bhajans came running back out to get a closer darshan of Swami. Swami's car was going so slow that it virtually looked like it was standing still. So we all got very good and close darshan this morning. Swami returned back to mandir around 9:25 am. Soon after that aarathi was sung ending the morning bhajans.

July 3rd 3:00 pm - Yesterday Devotees from United States had a program in mandir

There was a singing program by the devotees from United States. They sang songs in Sai Kulwant Hall yesterday evening. Both male and female devotees participated in the program. After the event Swami presented all the performers with clothes and all the other devotees were given prasadam of small pouches filled with a Swami's photo, sweets and chocolates etc. We have no pictures of the event only the picture of the pouch that was given as prasadam.
