December 31st: 10:30 am - Ending the year with Swami's blessings

Yesterday when we were doing all the new year specials. We had a gut feeling that we would be doing a video today. And to our surprise Swami came for a visit outside mandir at 10:05 am this morning giving us that chance. What a way to end this year. With Swami blessings.

December 30th: 9:30 pm - Year 2005



This really was an year to remember. We covered nearly 22 events. Some of the events were new this year. Some of them were regular ones. But the big one was Swami's 80th birthday celebrations. And what a wonderful celebrations they were. Hoping the next year will be as eventful and as colorful and as blissful as this one. Wishing you all a Happy New Year 2006, hoping with Swami's divine grace year 2006 will bring joy and happiness to your life.

December 28th: 10:50 am - Latest from Puttaparthi

Usually we don't report the daily happening in mandir. But today for morning bhajan Swami came at around 9:30 am. Swami invited few devotees for the interview. So the bhajans had to be a bit longer than usual. They continued up to 10:30 am. Ending with aarathi.

December 27th: 8:00 pm - Pamphlet for the december 26th program

Here is the pamphlet for the december 26th program. There are six songs which I thought you might enjoy reading. These were performed by the devotees from Southern California & Hawaii yesterday evening in mandir.

December 26th: 8:00 pm - More programs today in Puttaparthi

This evening at 4:00 pm there was a musical program by the Devotees from Southern California & Hawaii. They sang 7 songs. One of the songs goes like this.

Lord of Love by Jeff Nelson

Lord of Love, I come to You and I give to You my life.
Lord of love I surrender all. I make You one with my life.

Lord, I will praise Your name forever, for you are love and life to me.
Lord in my heart I seek your pleasure. I make You one with my life.

After the event Swami called the lady who conducted the singing and presented a chain to her. When she tried putting it on, it was small and Swami took it back and made it bigger and gave it to her again which she could put on easily. Wonders of our Bagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba,

December 26th: 8:00 pm - Christmas evening in Puttaparthi

The evening program had a choir performance by the devotees. They sang well and many songs. After the evening performance Swami presented four lucky devotees with rings, bracelet and a chain. Swami walked again in the evening for a while.

December 25th: 11:30 am - Christmas in Puttaparthi

Mandir is beautifully decorated for this Christmas. There is a Christmas Tree near the Vinayaka temple at the main gate. And the Sai Kulwant Hall is also very well decorated. This morning there were songs by the students as part of the Christmas celebrations. Today morning Swami walked for a while. Which could be the biggest present you all might be looking forward to. There are more program in the evening.

December 24th: 8:30 pm - Merry Christmas To All

Looking at that picture makes you kind of nostalgic. This was the only occasion on which you could see Swami wearing white. You might say what so special about white. Seeing the embodiment of Love and peace in the symbolic color of peace and love is quite an experience. We have no idea of how the program this year are planned. So we will have to wait until the events actually happen. Mandir is beautifully decorated. The choir which was practicing for weeks is now ready and eagerly waiting to perform in front of Swami. We wish you all a very Happy Christmas. We will have a report of tomorrow's program as soon as the events happen.

December 24th: 5:30 pm - Our New project is called "Sathya Sai Baba is Everywhere"

Here is how the project will work. You send us a picture of yourself holding Swami's photo and in the background should be your cities landmark. If your city has no such land mark then send us a picture of the place in your city that is special to you. We will put all the photo we receive on a map on our site showing that Swami is everywhere. So start sending the pictures.

I am really looking forward to receiving picture from Iraq and other place that really need Swami's Divine grace.

To get a better idea of how the photo should look see the photo on the side. Which is just a sample.

Please note.

1.You can be in the picture holding the photo or not that's is up to you.
2.You can even invite your friends to join in. But don't put too many people because the picture will be small. You might not be able to see all of them.
3.Don't send us photos that are manufactured in computer because we are good at figuring that out and we will not put them online.
4.When you send the picture please mention the place and city and country in detail.

December 23rd: 11:30 am - Swami visited outside mandir today morning at 8:30 am

Today morning at 8:30 am Swami came outside mandir and we were ready with camera and all. You could not have got a better drashan even if you were in the mandir. Since the Sports day is only weeks away expect many more such visits and we will be bringing every one of them. Oh by the way while returning Swami went from inside mandir, so no video of that.

December 20th: 2:30 pm - Christmas Choir 2005

The rehersals for this years chirstmas choir are already underway. They started rehersing a week or so ago. Nearly 750 devotees are participating for this years rehersal. 550 of them are women and 200 of them are men. More are expected to join in, in coming days. We have the lyrics of the choir on the site you can read them. Sorry about the quality of the text. Only those who are singing have the lyrics but you get them because you are very special.

December 19th: 8:00 pm - We are back and this time with lot of stuff too

Two more cities have been added to the "80th Birthday around the world section". The cities are New south wales in Australia and New Jersey in USA.

We will put a christmas special pooja section soon where you can worship Swami in Christmas style. What else much, much more let the rest be a surpirse.

December 17th: 6:30 pm - Swami came outside mandir

Swami again came outside mandir today at 3:30 pm. The car was moving so slow so we had a good darshan. We have a video but no place to put it because of lack of bandwidth. Join the newsletter because we will be sending some photos of the video in the newsletter. Hopefully we will get the site fixed by monday. Its one problem after the other can you imagine this we go and register with one of the big internet providers in indian we should have got the site running today. But they have some database problems so it will take time for them to get our account activated. Swami is playing with us but we have not lost hope we will stick to it and continue with the speading of Swami's message of Love. You seem to be getting tired but don't this is Sathya Sai Baba's way of testing us so keep checking and spreading the word about the site.

December 17th: 1:00 pm - Swami came outside mandir at bhajan time

Today morning Swami came outside mandir at the bhajan time and returned at around 9:30 am. The bhajans continued for a while after that before the aarathi. No pictures because while going Swami went from inside mandir and while coming came from the outside but the camera was not ready.

December 15th: 7:00 pm - No evening Bhajans today in Puttaparthi

Today evening there was no bhajans in Puttaparthi. Swami was in Poorna Chandra auditorium with students. There is a program going on as i write this in Poorna Chandra auditorium. This program is only for students so not sure what the program is. Some are saying that a movie is being played. That's just a rumour.

December 15th: 4:00 pm - Swami just returned after the visit

Swami came outside for a visit at around 3:30 pm and returned back to mandir. Since the site is not ready yet the video will be posted later. In the coming days you will being seeing many such visits from Swami outside mandir, because Swami will be going on to check on the preparations for the Sports day by the students. Or thats how it should happen if thing go like last year.

December 15th: 10:45 am - Thank you for all the help

We have received so many offers that we are kind of surprised so many people even cared about us. Thank you for all the offers of help with Swami grace we have found a cheaper provider in India itself. So in a day or two the site will start working normally with all the pictures and extra stuff.

December 14th: 11:15 am - Swami came outside mandir

A surprising thing happened this morning. I was sleeping when I heard some one yelling swami was coming outside mandir. The time was 6:30 am in the morning. Not many devotees were on the road all of them were in darshan. So we got a good darshan and then all of a sudden Swami car went inside the mandir from the main gate. swami just came outside and went back to mandir from the main gate from where all the devotees enter from. That was the first time I ever Saw Swami go back to mandir from the main gate. It was a surprise because Swami didn't go anywhere just came from the gopuram gate and went back into mandir from the main gate. Sorry no picture because i just woke up.

December 12th: 9:30 pm - It that time again so get ready for celebrations.

Christmas is only days away. So start the prepartions. Let us all celebrate because we are the fortunate ones and also pray for the less fortunate ones.

December 11th: 12:30 pm - Not much happening here in Puttaparthi

For the next few weeks the news in puttaparthi is very dull. Nothing really happening here other than the regular darshan and bhajans which most devotees love. So don't expect much news on the site.

December 9th: 11:25 pm - Not a bad time to visit

This could be a very good time to visit Puttaparthi. For the next two weeks there are no celebrations in Puttaparthi that we know of. So you can have good darshan and bhajans without that many other devotees around. And the weather is also very cold which many people seems to prefer than the heat in Puttaparthi. So pack your bags...

December 7th: 9:30 am - Swami came for a visit this morning

This morning Swami came for a visit outside mandir at around 9:30 am. We didn't take any picture because we were not ready. Because it was right after bhajans. it was unexpected. that's lame excuse but hope we will ready next time.

December 4th: 8:30 pm - Not just another normal Day

Today looked like a gloomy day from the morning it even rained in the evening. But then after the bhajans the rain stopped and devotees from Srikakulam District in Andhra Pradesh did a procession which they called Maha Nagara Sankeertana. The procession was filled with bhajans singing groups and all kinds of dances and costumes on display. There were even fire crackers. One thing you gotta give to them is their enthusiasm even on such a cold and gloomy day. They made Puttaparthi warm again. Sorry for the picture quality those were the best we could get in these dark conditions.

December 3rd: 8:20 pm - Its raining here in Puttaparthi.

Here is the presentation of Sathya sai Baba's Birthday Day Celebrations around the world. We have around 12 place so far. You might be wondering why only this many countries, may be others didn't know about us and that was the reason why they didn't send us. Thank you for all those who sent us the pictures and reports, your names have been mentioned on your countries page. After seeing this if you feel left out send us your pictures. We don't mind putting them up.

December 3rd: 8:20 pm - Its raining here in Puttaparthi.

After being cloudy for the last two days the rain finally came down today. This is the effect of the cyclone that was coming shore in the coastal region. But now every thing is fine just small shower.

December 2nd: 4:00 pm - Now we are on a new server so we shouldn't have any problems.

Sorry for all those outages. The devotees are flooding our site so we had to go for a new server. Hope from now on the service will continue normally.

December 1st: 12:20 pm - We are back, with picture and all.

We have brought you two poem about "Darshan" and "waiting for darshan" which you can see in event section. Between these two poems i like the one called Waiting. It makes you nostalgic for the good old days even though i am still very young. I think the poem sums up how our devotions should be. By the end of the poem i had tears in my eyes. Hoping this peom will help those who might be feeling bad of not having a good darshan etc.

Please don't send us any poems of your own because we will not put them online for all kind of reasons.

We have got pictures from Canada and Sri Lanka of the celebrations there. We will wait three more days if you want to send pictures please send them by then to be included in the presentation of "80th Birthday of Sai Baba around the World".

From now on if you want to contact us you will have to write us a mail the usual way, yesterday we were targetted by some hacker who used our contact form to send thousands of e-mails so we had to remove it.
