August 26: In the evening there was a drama about Lord Krishna performed by the students. There were also speeches by two students who spoke, they told some small stories it really was interesting day in puttaparthi.




Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, UAE Education Minister was here on Krishna Astami. He had a interview with Swami after the morning Krishna Astami program.

Today is Sri Krishna Ashtami in puttaparthi. Today morning students brought the animals from gokulam into mandir where Swami blessed them and gave them food. The elephant Sai Gheeta was also brought. Every year Swami walks to the elephant and feeds it. But this year since Swami could not walk. The elephant came to swami and Swami gave some fruits. There were some dignitaries so Swami was giving them interview as the program was finishing. Prasadam was given to all the devotees.

August 26: Yesterday afternoon Swami went outside mandir for a while and returned before the bhajans started at around 4.00 pm. If you look closely you can see that Swami is blessing the devotees who were standing along the road for darshan. After seeing that "Aabaya Hastam" (Divine hand) all your fears have to disappear.

August 24: Yesterday afternoon Swami came outside for a visit but and returned quickly. Some said that Swami was going to look after some construction that was going on.

August 23: One of the devotees informed us that you can get Sanskar TV in usa and other parts of the world. so ask your cable operator to see if you can receive this channel.

August 21: Yesterday as part of the Sri Sathya Sai Institue of Higher Learning Alumni there was a program in the evening. Seven students were choosen from all the students who attended the event all of them MBA holders from Swami's Institute. These seven students were working in big companies like Polaris, Infosys, Karvy etc. They spoke about how Education in Swami's Institute has helped them in the corporate world etc. The said that they are not Master in Business Administration ( MBA ), they only were business administrators and the Master was Sathya Sai Baba. After the program Swami invited them for interview. Prasadam was distributed to devotees after the event.

August 18: This week we have been getting many visitors so we have already used up most of our bandwidth. So we will be removing the video from the site for a while. We will upload them later.

August 17: Today there was a event called "The Educare Conference" Swami gave a discourse as part of this event. Swami talked about the value of education. And how children should study hard because the effort their parents are putting into to get them good education. During the discourse while giving an example Swami said that all the 9 planets are not the same each planet is different. Then Swami materialized a ring with nine different stones, this ring is called "Navarathnalu" and presented it to the chief guest of the event. Who also gave a speech

August 16: Click here to see the picture of Vara Lakshmi Pooja. Nearly 800 people participated in the pooja performing pooja. After the event Swami presented the poojari (holy mand who helps perform the pooja) with a ring.

August 16: Yesterday evening there was a program in mandir as part of the indian independence day celebration. Students performed a drama on this topic. after the program everyone stood up and sang the Indian National Anthem.

August 14: Yesterday evening Swami came for a visit out side mandir and Returned pretty quickly.

August 13: Swami came outside mandir this morning and returned before the bhajans. Swami also gave interview to "Nithaya Shri Mahadevan" a well known Carnatic Singer who performed last evening in mandir.

August 12: In the morning the "Vara Lakshmi Vratham" started in Puttaparthi. Huge number of devotees participated in the pooja. They performed pooja to Godess lakshmi in the Divine presence of Sathya Sai Baba. Swami looked over the pooja and gave blessings to all the devotees. Nearly 1000 people participated in the "Vara Lakshmi Vratham"




In the evening "Nithaya Shri Mahadevan" a well known Carnatic Singer from south india. She sang beautiful songs. Swami presented her with a saree. At the end of the program she thanked Swami for giving the oppurtunity to sing on the ocassion of "Vara Lakshmi Vratham". She said that getting an oppurtunity to sing infront of Swami was a very big blessing she said that not that many people get this oppurtunity so she was really thanful to Swami.

August 11: There was an article in the local newspaper which said that. The number of devotees for this years celebration of the 80th Birthday of Sathya Sai Baba will be around 20 lakhs. We will bring you more details later.

In two days a big pooja is going to happen here in Puttaparthi. Many devotees are also participating in this event. The name of the pooja is "Vara Lakshmi Vratham". Nearly 800 people are participating in this event.

August 9: Please send us the information about the temple that you know which are dedicated to Swami. If you have picture of the temples that would help us a lot. we are going to make a database of all the temples in the world using a map. So no matter where in the world you are we can show you a place to go pray and spread your love.

On any give day there could be

3 heart surgeries
5 ophthalmology surgeries
5 urology surgeries
3 cath procedures
1 ct scan

And countless number of x-rays and scans, all this without taking a single rupee from the patients. The moment they enter the hospital to the time they leave they are taken care of with utmost love and respect. The above figures are only for the hospital that is in puttaparthi.

So when you look at it like this it really seems a lot. That's 6 heart surgeries in a single day. so patients who are being given a dates now know why this is happening. This is one of the ways for our bellowed Sathya Sai Baba to show his love to the world.

August 4: Today morning too Swami came for a visit outside mandir, this is becoming a regular thing which could only make the residents happy because they can see their Beloved Swami everyday.

Yesterday too there were singing program by the students. After the program some papers were distributed among the devotees it was the newsletter "Heart to Heart" which talk about the free medical help Sathya Sai Baba is providing and amount of seva Sai Baba trust is doing. It had the details about the number of surgeries done at both the hospitals here in Puttaparthi and in Bangalore. The numbers are just staggering and it was done to people who couldn't have afforded to pay, there fore saving their lives.

August 3: Today Swami came twice outside mandir, in the morning. it was at around 8:00 am and Swami only returned before bhajans. Both times we only saw swami coming. Yesterday evening there were bhajan programs by the devotees from abroad. They sang a few songs.
