August 31: Yesterday evening there was a musical program by the group from U.K Swami also gave them interview after that. They sang songs in tamil and other languages etc.

August 29: Yesterday as part of the Onam Celebrations Swami gave a discource. The morning program was called "Kerala - The Sai Samrajya" it was presented by the balvikas children of Thiruvananthapuram district. The story goes like this, Emperor Mahabali walks towards Swami. Passengers ask him why he was in Andhra pradesh. Bali tells them that Vamana has teken birth again as Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and many of his people celebrate Onam at Prasanthi Nilayam. Bali wants to be with his people as well as Sai Vamana. So he came to Prasanthi Nilayam with the bala vikas kids during onam.

Bali shows Sai to children and tells them that HE is Omkar, the utmost divine concept of Parabrahma. Children dance praising Sai as Omkar.

Next Bali calls another group of children to show the traditional dances of kerala before Swami. Children dance showing boat race, Mohiniyatta,, Kadhakali, Thiruvathira, Oattomthullal, Koladi, Kalari Payattu, kaduvakali and Theyyam.

Now chidren tell Bali that kerala yearns for Swami's Paadasparsan. Bali assures that Swami would visit and all the chidren dance in mirth with candles and welcome HIM to kerala, the land of Sankaea, Bhargava, Guruvayurappan and Sree Padmanabha.

Seventy five Balavias students participated in this programme. Swami presented an 8 year old girl with gold chain and asked her age etc then asked her to practice dancing well.

Evening too there was a drama and swami presented the lead character of the drama a chian and ring even before the drama started, when the boy came to give a flower to Swami.

August 28: Today it's a glorious morning in Puttaparthi, There was a shower in the morning but that didn't dampen the mood here. The programs are continuing as i write this in mandir, i will write about them later. Last evening too there was a musical by the singers from kerala. And there was a drama, which was about how a non believer come to believe in God and under what circumstances does he beleive in the divine etc. If you would like to know more about Onam read this.

August 27: Yesterday evening there was a musical by the singers from kerala, they sang songs and there was some great music, the songs were in malayalam, this was part of the onam celebration. There are plenty of devotees from kerala here for the Onam Celebration.

August 26: Yesterday evening there was a musical and dance program by the devotees from United Kingdom, the programe was in poorna chandra auditorium.

August 25: Yesterday evening there was a musical program in poorna chandra auditorium, devotees from different countries performed as one group and it really was nice music. Two from each country performed. it really was nice.

August 23: Today morning there was discource by Sai Baba in Mandir, Swami talked about the rally yesterday, Swami said he liked there devotion and the effort they were putting into the rally. And promised them that there towns will be developed soon. Then Swami asked all of them to have Prasadam (food) in canteen. All the devotees were give free meal as prasadam in the afternoon at the canteen.

August 23: Yesterday evening there was a rally by nearly 2 to 3000 people in puttaparthi, the rally was called "Parthi Yatra". There were all kind of decorations and dances performed. It really was fun to watch the way they danced and enjoyed themselves.

August 22: Yesterday evening there was a discourse by our beloved Lord Bhagawan Sathya Sai Baba. Swami talked about how he got injured, and said it was an accident and one of the students who was decoration the room fell from a chair he was standing on which injured Swami. Swami said he was okay and had no pain now, Swami said that the students are taking care of him very well. Swami also talked about some of the people who work for Swami and said that they are making big sacrifices to stay with Swami and do seva. All of them are well educated but none of them are willing to leave for job out side puttaparthi. Swami also talked about the Students studying in Puttaparthi, and said that some of them will rule India in the near future and said that you have not seen anything yet there is more to come. Then Swami said that five to six more colleges are going to be opened pretty soon all over India. These were some of the points of the speech

August 21: Puttaparthi is a bit crowded because of the devotees from Guntur visiting in large numbers. Nearly 10000 devotees from Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) are in puttaparthi now for Swami's darshan.

August 19: Yesterday evening too there was speech in mandir by the devotees.

August 18: Yesterday evening there was speech in mandir, Mr.Anil Kumar too spoke.

August 16: Yesterday evening there was a drama by students about the Independence day. Then after the drama all the devotees got up and sang the Indian national anthem "Jana Gana Mana".

August 15: Today is India's Independance day, the celebrations are going on all over India. You can also see in the picture, few school boys taking a march past in putaparthi. So wishing you all a Happy independence day where ever in the world you are.

August 14: Yesterday evening there was drama by the devotees in mandir.

August 10: Yesterday evening too there was drama in mandir by the students. Then prasadam was distributed. The last two days there has been prasadam distribution in puttaparthi, day before yesterday it was sweets and yesterday it was biscuits.

August 9: By the way on Saturday night at 9:00 pm I saw a program about Our Swami on "Sanskar TV". In the program a Iraq police who quit his job when sadam was over thrown and refused to take the job when Americans offered him it again said after he refused the job he got a dream that some Swami asking him to take the job. He said he immediately wanted to see the Swami all he knew was that he was in puttaparthi. So they left Iraq and went to Pakistan from there they came to Amritsar and from there some lady came and asked the if they wanted to go to puttaparthi and then they said yes and she booked them tickets to directly to puttaparthi. It took them not one, not two but 24 days to reach Puttaparthi from Iraq (and we were complaining about the journey to puttaparthi) then received Swami's blessing in darshan and has decided to go back to Iraq and help his people by taking the job. And also said that he and his wife are translating many books into Arabic.

August 9: Yesterday evening there was a drama in mandir. The drama was in Telugu.

August 7: Yesterday evening a devotee from London gave speech in mandir and after the speech, Swami presented him with a gold chain. Swami personally put the chain on him. Pretty lucky person ha.

August 6: Yesterday evening there was speech by Mr. Anil kumar, the topic was about "Teachers". How they have this great gift of teaching others and how they should use it to help all the students who come to them etc. He also said that All the Gods are teachers too. They teach the human kind about Love and Spirituality

August 2:Yesterday evening there was a program by the balavikas students from Hyderabad. They performed a Drama called "Saadhvimani Sita". The theme is from "Uttara Ramayana", an extension of Ramayana by Sage Valmiki. The play "Saadhvimani Sita" presents very vividly, the virtues embodied in Mother Sita. When Rama sends here to forest on the basis of a rumour, she blames her own fate but never says even one word against Rama. As a dutiful wife, she refuses to go back with her mother Earth and brings up her sons Lava and Kusa, with a sole intention to hand over them to Rama. When Rama invites her to Ayodhya, she refuses to return, politely, telling that Rama's reputation as king should not suffer, on any account. As a dutiful mother, she bring up her sons under direct tutelage of Valmiki, thus providing moral exhortation and spiritual illumination to the young ones. Mother Sita's love, devotion and self esteem is the confluence that keeps us in constant awareness that pain and gain are the two sides of our life-coin and we should all fix our thoughts on Lord and make our lives pious and purposeful.

August 1:Today morning there was a program in which they discussed about Sita (Lord Rama's wife) it was a different program than the ones that happen here regularly.

August 1:Yesterday morning there was a program by the children of Swami's school. Then two ladies gave speech. The same ladies sang songs in the evening after which swami presented them with sari's and gave one of the lady a gold chain.
